Otis Jones Jr., P.E., LEED GA
Otis Jones is the founding Principal and President of Elite Structural Engineers, LLC. Otis has over 13 years of experience in the design of building structures and brings a wealth of Structural Engineering experience to the firm. Over that period, he has designed a variety of complex structural systems using wood, masonry, concrete and steel materials. He has also led the investigation of projects requiring remediation, renovations, structural modifications and condition assessments. His ability to break down complex problems into simple solutions while providing consistent, responsive service is an asset to owners, architects and design-build clients alike.
Otis obtained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from Texas A&M University in December 2007. He has been in Houston for his entire life and has had his own firm for the past 4 years. He is a licensed engineer in Texas and certified LEED Green Associate (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) with the United States Green Building Council. He is also a member of the ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers), SEAoT (Structural Engineers Association of Texas), and the ACEC (American Council of Engineering Companies).
In 2020, Otis was appointed by the Texas Governor Greg Abbott to the Industrialized Building Code Council:
Iyana Jones
Iyana Jones is Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Elite Structural Engineers, LLC. She has a deep and genuine care for the employees at Elite Structural and has helped create a culture of excellence during her tenure. In her role as Chief Administrative Officer, Iyana manages both the business and employee side of operations, contributing through strategy, implementation and day-to-day oversight of the finance, Human Resources and recruiting departments.
Iyana obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business degree from Northern Illinois University in December 2008 and obtained her Masters degree in Human Resource Management from Keller Graduate School of Management in May 2013. She moved to Houston in 2013 and partnered with Otis to found the firm.
